A Perfect Day in Gulf Shores Stars Early

It is natural to think in terms of only beach combing, castle building etc. but believe it or not there are so many other unique adventures that could make for a perfectly great day. I feel I must share with readers. FIRST: wake up early! Before sunrise is best.
Drive, walk, stumble out of bed whatever you must do --- take your coffee to go and catch a sunrise on the beach. The fish jump, birds dive, pelicans skim and your spirits lift. Get breakfast, pack provisions and camera and drive to Ft. Morgan.
Purchase a one-way ticket and drive onto the ferry. Sight-see Dauphin Island if you want but I'd drive on to Theodore to Bellingrath Gardens. Stroll the gardens, sit, meditate, smell the flowers, sketch in a journal, photograph the spectacular beauty of deliberate garden design.
Drive into Mobile and take the Hwy 98 bridge back toward Daphne. Stop to eat at one of the restaurants along the Bay. Drive into Fairhope, then walk the pier to catch a sunset. Look for dolphins --- they are abundant. Drive pleasantly home along Mobile Bay on scenic 98. At some point, park the car, get out and make a wish at the moon and stars before heading "home" in bliss.
