Alabama Gulf Coast Camping

by Lynn
(Akron, OH, USA)

The Alabama Gulf Coast is one of my favorite places to camp. I love that region probably more than anywhere else I’ve ever camped. I love that many of the camping facilities offer both natural beaches and fishing piers and some even offer docks to dock your boat. Many are pet friendly. And the fact that many campgrounds are only minutes away from Alabama’s public beaches makes camping here even more appealing.

The weather is glorious in this region of Alabama. The beaches have beautiful sugar white sand. The people are friendly. The dining in the area is magnificent. And there are many area attractions to keep your interest. Camping in this area puts you in close vicinity to many activities. There’s something to keep everyone in the family entertained including a zoo, museum, and even air balloon rides, just to name a few. And there are golf courses everywhere, including some of the best I’ve visited.

The prices are very reasonable. In fact my family was surprised that things were so much more reasonable here than at places where we spent our previous vacations. The Alabama Gulf Coast is a growing family destination area. Camping in this area is an inexpensive alternative to some of the costly beach vacations that many families take. We plan on camping in Alabama’s Gulf Coast area again next summer. In fact we’re considering making it our yearly vacation destination.
