Bahama Bob's is worth the mess

First off, let me say that this is not a 5 star restaurant, so don’t expect 5 star service. The place is staffed by youngsters and can get crowded as all heck when the season is right. That being said, Bahama Bob’s, located in Gulf Shores Al (on Beach Blvd) is the place to go if you want a light-hearted atmosphere, an amazing beach view, and the world’s best burger.

My husband and I pass through Gulf Shores when visiting relatives and always try to stay a day or two to unwind (which I need after the in-laws). We do this at least three times a year and we always stop at Bahama Bob’s.

The food is amazing; you wouldn’t think it by the exterior. The stuffed fish is better than what I have had in Hawaii, in season. When fish isn’t in season, the burgers are the best on the coast, no hands down. It’s just the place to walk in from the beach, have a seat, and relax. The staff is young, and a little hurried, but nice as they can be. (I once saw a waitress feeding scraps to a stray cat).

The husband and I enjoy the energy after being around old people all of the time (us included). Try the crab if it’s in season - you won’t get anything like it except in MA.
