Emerils

On my road trip in March my friends and I visited Emeril's Gulf Coast Fish House in Gulfport for dinner. It is fancy looking restaurant, so I was a little worried about the prices. The waiters and cooks in the place looked sharp and clean. The first thing that caught my attention was the smell of food coming from the kitchen.I ordered a “Sunday Southern Supper” meal.
The first thing came to the table is the corn bread. It is baked to a golden brown colour, the crust is crispy and the middle is soft and warm. I loved it!
Next came a salad with loads of vegetables with buttermilk ranch. Wonderful!
The main course for me was Buttermilk Dipped Southern Fried Chicken. The buttermilk is very creamy and it matches the chicken perfectly. The chicken as not even slightly over cooked. For a chicken lover like me it was certainly a delight!
After the main I ordered a mocha. A perfect way to end one of the best dinners out that I have ever had.
But the most exciting thing I recorded in my journal was the price - less than $20 for this meal!!!
