Felix's Fish Camp Grill

After having been recommended by one of my peers, this past week I ate at Felix's Fish Camp Grill. I was visiting the area with my boss and was looking for a good seafood restaurant to enjoy.
Mind you, my boss is six months pregnant and not one of my favorite people. But am I glad that my peer recommended Felix's. The wait for the dining room was over an hour, so we ended up eating in the bar. The seating wasn't the most comfortable, and the lighting wasn't the greatest, but the food more then made up for it.
I had a white fish on grits, smothered with a Cajun sauce that was out of this world. It had just enough spice to make it truly enjoyable. This was the first time I had grits with dinner, and they complimented the fish and Cajun sauce nicely. The restaurant seemed a bit in the sticks, but sitting there on the water was a great relaxing view.
With a bar singer strumming his six string, playing well known oldies, the evening went by quickly. My boss and I shared a desert sampler, and I let her eat the two that I didn't like - the night was complete.
For a Tuesday night, they sure were busy. The parking lot was packed, and people were still rolling in as we left. I can see why, as the food was awesome! I will definitely make it a point to make it back to Felix’s the next time I’m in town, but hopefully it will be with more suitable company then my boss…
