The Gulf Shores and Orange Beach Fourth of July Fireworks Shows- 2010

Fourth of July Fireworks shows on the Alabama Gulf Coast have become eagerly anticipated events. Yes, its not just one event - if you really like fireworks, you can see three different 4th of July shows.

First show on the fireworks agenda takes place courtesy of the Perdido Beach Resort. Fireworks is just one part of the resort's Annual Fireworks Gala and Barbecue on Saturday, July 3rd, and the only part that's free. (Really, how could you fence off a fireworks display if you wanted to.) If you want to just see the fireworks, be at any Orange Beach public beach access point just before dark. If you're staying at a condo near Perdido Pass, you already have one of the best spots to see the show - right from your balcony. The fireworks start at 9 PM.

Fireworks

The next night, Sunday July 4th, the City of Gulf Shores lights up the sky with its fireworks spectacular. The show is scheduled to begin at 9:00 p.m. The fireworks will be launched from a barge anchored a half-mile out in the Gulf. Any place on the beach is going to be a good place to see the show. If you are staying in a motel or condo beachside, just watch them from there - unless of course it looks like there's a bigger party at the beach.

Also on Independence Day, the Wharf on the Intracoastal Canal will be hosting its 4th of July Celebration. The Wharf will be humming with fun for the entire family. The Pepsi Star Series show at the Wharf Amphitheater will be showcasing Montgomery Gentry with special guests James Otto & Easton Corbin. You'll have to buy a ticket for the big concert, but the fireworks are free.
