Family Fun at Gulf Shores Amusement Parks

Gulf Shores amusement parks are great spots to spend a portion of your vacation.

In Fall of 2012, Oceans Park, new indoor water park, is scheduled to open on Highway 59 in Gulf Shores adjacent to the new zoo, which is also scheduled to open in Fall 2012. Both attractions may open at the same time.

Covering 27 acres, the water park will be visible from Highway 59 (Gulf Shores Parkway) and it will be illuminated at night. It will be designed to resemble a giant wave.

Waterville USA Gulf Shores Alabama

Over the years, Waterville U.S.A has become very well-known to Alabama Gulf Coast vacationers. For some, a Gulf Shores vacation is not complete without a trip to Waterville. The park covers 20 acres and includes slides, a pool with 3 foot waves, and a lazy river. There is enough inside the park to keep most people busy for an afternoon, and some stay for the entire day.

The amusement park has inflatable jumpers, a roller coaster, go-carts, miniature golf, arcade games and the Cannonball Run wooden roller coaster.

The Track Gulf Shores AlabamaAt The Track Family Recreation Center on Gulf Shores Parkway, your family can play mini-golf and have fun in the 5,000 square foot arcade. You can bungee jump, ride the skycoaster, and drive a blaster boat. The go-kart tracks are designed for different ages and skill levels. Younger children can hop on rides suitable for them.

There is no admission charge to the track. Since there are no entry fees, this is a good place for parents to rest at the concession stand while younger kids play nearby and older kids enjoy the amusements that are suitable for their age.

Adventure Island is located on Perdido Beach Blvd in Orange Beach. At Adventure Island you can enjoy the go-kart track, roller coaster, bumper boats, paddle boats, the arcade, laser tag, and mini-golf.

Adventure Island is very convenient to many of the condo complex's in Orange Beach, so it's a good place to take a break from the sun or drop in on a rainy afternoon.

This park is a small attraction, but there is enough at the Track to keep most kids busy for a couple hours, and admission is free so there is no cost for parents to watch their children enjoy themselves.

Pirates Island Gulf Shores Alabama

At Pirate's Island Adventure Golf on Gulf Shores Parkway, you can putt-putt in an exotic island atmosphere around everything from monuments paying homage to the legendary pirates Jean Lafitte and Blackbeard to waterfalls, caves, and creepy cemeteries.

The Track is just across Highway 59 from Pirate's Island, so you might want to make time to visit both attractions on the same trip. Pirate's Island Adventure Golf Home Page

Those are the most popular Gulf Shores amusement parks. Try to visit at least one in on your vacation!
