Gulf Shores Movie Theaters: Many Nearby ScreensUp until very recently Gulf Shores movie theaters were very few in number. Several new shopping centers have opened, two of them have state-of-the-art movie theater complexes.Cobb Theatres Pinnacle 14 Cinemas is located in front of Craft Farms on Gulf Shores Parkway (Hwy 59). The moviegoer can choose between 14 screens here. Every seat is a good one with stadium seating.
The location is convenient, especially if you want to go shopping before or after your movie. In the same shopping center there is a Target if you need some beach supplies. I like the Books-A-Million to pick up some beach reading and kill some time in the coffee shop while my wife is at Target. Another favorite hangout of ours is locally owned and operated Sweetie Pies. If you prefer Starbucks there is also one of those in this center. There are also restaurants here, most of them regional or national chain operations. Get Movie Times: 251-923-0100
The Rave at the Wharf is located on the "island" side of the Foley Beach Expressway, just past the toll bridge. The Rave has 14 screens, all with stadium seating. If you have never visited the Wharf you will probably want to come early or stay late. Many specialty shops are at the Wharf, along with numerous dining options. Strolling or relaxing at the marina is a pleasant way to wait for your movie to begin. You can't miss the Rave.
