Gulf Shores Residents and the Oil Spill

by Anonymous
(Gulf Shores, AL)

I am not trying to rain on anyone's vacation parade, but it is a little bit tiring to hear about everyone's ruined vacations from the oil...What about the people who live and reside on and near these beaches and draw their living from them? (i.e. the entire Gulf Shores community)

The beaches, for the most part, are still gorgeous. Minus a few tar balls, they are very easy to enjoy. I truly would like to see more people getting this word out, so that tourists would still keep coming and enjoying our beaches, and so that locals who live off of this industry would not continue to see loss.
