If You Haven't Yet Been to Villaggio's Grille --- GO!

By Far The Best Burger in Gulf Shores and Surrounding Area

By Far The Best Burger in Gulf Shores and Surrounding Area

Rarely do I feel the need to rave about a restaurant but Villaggio's Grille, located at 4790 Wharf Pkwy, at the Wharf in Orange Beach, is one to promote for three reasons:

1) The Food --- Chef Brody Olive and manager Nicole Hulto personally selected the menu to reflect a diverse menu representative of indigenous foods; there is something on the menu to appeal to all types of tastes and eating styles; Chef Brody is particularly interested in featuring freshly grown, fresh ingredients as a base for his dishes and many things are made in-house.

2) The Atmosphere --- is classy enough for a special meal yet casual enough for a lunch just off the boat or in off the beach.

3) The Value ---- If you consider "eating fresh" an important criteria to meal selection you will delight in the value of many items in the menu ranging from $10 salads and pizzas to $25 wood-fired specialties. Brunch prices range from $7 to under $15 and feature specials like "Mixed Berry Crepes" to "Salad Nicoise Orange Beach" with wood-fired Ahi Tuna; to "Villaggio Benedict" with Prosciutto, Poached Eggs, and Parmigiano Cream.

If you are particular about burgers try the "Villaggio Burger" made with in-house made wheat roll, handcut and formed ground steak grilled to perfection on a wood grill. You will be served a side of thinly sliced "homemade" potato chips lightly seasoned with Kosher salt and, if you like, a dish of olive tapenade with warm baguette to start --- all for under $10. This makes it not only the best, freshest made burger meal on the island --- it is by far the best value.

Take my word for it. Go to Villaggio Grille and you will find yourself wanting to rave also!

...and staff is knowledgeable of food

Thanks for your comment Bill. I hope you go and have as good an eating experience as I had. If Miriam is working I have confidence she will get you so enthused about the dishes you won't know what you'll want to try first!

I plan to write a review of the IntraCoastal Bread & Bottle Co. because I also had great experiences there. (think heavy, swiss chocolate nearly flourless cake)
Enjoy!

Thanks for that review Shelly. I haven't tried it yet, but after reading your review it's certainly on my list.
