King Neptunes Seafood

by Diane
(Daphne, Alabama)

I Loved Everything

Last time I went out to eat in the Gulf Shores, Alabama area, it was at King Neptune's Seafood Restaurant on Gulf Shores Parkway. I had heard good things about the restaurant, and I love seafood, so I figured I was in for a treat. However, King Neptune's managed to surpass even my very high expectations.

After getting seated quickly and being greeted by our very friendly waitress, we were soon ordering drinks and appetizers. I got an appletini, which was very reasonably priced, especially compared to other places in the area. For appetizers, my family decided to split the Crab and Shrimp Quesadilla and the Golden Fried Mushrooms. Both were amazing! It was hard not to fill up just on the treats that we'd already been served while we waited for our dinner.

Luckily, our dinner orders came quickly, and they were every bit as delicious. I ordered the Caribbean Platter, which I loved. The Coconut Fried Shrimp was especially good, but I really enjoyed everything that I ordered. I also got to try a little of my husband's meal. He chose the Bon Secour Extra Select Oysters. They were some of the best oysters that I ever tasted! Our kids both ordered the chicken tenders and were very happy with them.

It was so hard to make room for dessert after all the great food that I'd eaten, but I couldn't resist. I got the fried cheesecake, and it was exquisite. I had to pack a lot of food and my dessert to take home for later, but it tasted every bit as good as leftovers, and it was very nice to have.

Overall, I have no complaints about my experience at King Neptune's. I only wish that I lived a little bit closer so that I could eat there more often. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a restaurant in that area.
