Lots to do at Crystal Tower!

by TJ
(Alabaster, AL)

Our favorite place to stay in Gulf Shores is the Crystal Tower complex, located on West Beach approx 1 mile from Hwy 59. This is one of the newer places that were built after the numerous hurricanes a few years ago and it combines many features that make it perfect!

The main building sits across the street from the beach and rises an impressive 20 stories! The most wonderful part of the building is that it offers terrific views and “across the street” pricing but also has access to the beach by way of an air-conditioned crosswalk that leads to their exclusive beach club and access.

The building boasts two outdoor pools with large hot tubs, one indoor pool, a gym, sauna and an arcade. Parking is a breeze in the over-sized lot, and several elevators help you reach your unit very quickly.

We like the grocery style buggies to help us bring our luggage upstairs with ease. Once inside the units, you find granite counter tops, tile floors and extra thick noise proof glass doors are common throughout. If you are traveling with little ones, you will find the 4 ft maximum depth in the pools a great relief!

The beach club pool also offers a lazy river with fountains for the older kids, and there are lots of chairs and tables along both outdoor pools. A quick run through the gate brings you down a long wooden walkway that leads almost to the water along the white sand beaches. All this and less than 1 mile to the heart of Gulf Shores dining and fun!
