Pelican Pointe - A Popular Condo Rental in Orange BeachPelican Pointe Condominiums in Orange Beach is very popular with visitors to the Alabama Gulf Coast. The property is located on Perdido Beach Boulevard between Windward Pointe and the Sands Condominiums. At 14 stories, 84 units, one tower, the property is low density (when compared to the many of the newer condo developments on the beach.) The complex was finished in 1995 when the bar for "luxury condos" was considerably lower than it is today, however most guests will find the units a nice place to spend a vacation and a bargain compared to the newer properties.  The condo units are three bedrooms, two baths. All of the units have large balconies. Corner units have even larger wrap around balconies. The balcony is a pleasant way to spend part of the day. We once owned a unit at this complex, and I spent many pleasant hours on the balcony reading and watching the activity on the beach and at the pool. You won't find a lot of sun on the balcony, but that was a plus for me; I could get all of that I needed on the beach. Amenities include an outdoor pool, a kiddie pool, indoor pool, jacuzzi, hot tub, tennis court and fitness room. There is no lobby. Unlike some of the newer complexes the property has ground floor units with patios that are level with the ground and which open to a grassy area. Many guests like ground floor units because it is much easier to drag beach toys on and off the beach. Also, kids have more room to play. The complex is conveniently located near restaurants, shopping centers, and souvenir shops. Beach chairs and umbrellas are available for rent on the beach.
