Phoenix West Orange Beach: Twenty-Five Floors of Luxury

The Phoenix West Orange Beach is located just pass the Alabama Gulf Coast Convention & Visitors Bureau in Orange Beach, coming from Gulf Shores. This is the newest Brett-Robinson condo development, and there is no doubt that this one is the most luxurious.

The Phoenix West has twenty-five floors of three and four bedroom units. The spacious master bath has a whirlpool tub for relaxing and a separate shower for those in a hurry. All units have a wet bar with an ice maker.

Condo units range from approximately 1800 to 2600 square feet, which are large enough for an extended family or group of friends to pool their funds and live in luxury during their vacation. My family recently vacationed in a Phoenix West three bedroom unit, and there was plenty of room for a dozen of us to float in and out without bumping into one another. (Link to Phoenix West photos that I took during our vacation.) If you are vacationing with someone who can get on your nerves, slip away to the spacious atrium style lobby and relax in front of the TV. Somebody is always behind the lobby service counter.

The views from the large balconies of the Gulf of Mexico are picturesque. The views of the pool activity is entertaining. You can wave to family and friends as they are floating down the lazy river, probably the most favored amenity at the resort.

The lazy river twists and turns around islands of palms. The river is shallow enough for children to splash and enjoy themselves while their parents are floating "downstream."

The zero entry pool is also nice for kids and parents-- set your beach chair by the pool and your kids can come and go without climbing down ladders into water over their heads. Also in the outdoor pool area are gazebos, barbeque grills, and a kiddie pool.

Indoors there is a large heated pool and saunas.

Tennis Courts are not an unusual amenity, but to get to the Phoenix West tennis courts you take the elevator to the 7th floor.
