What a Wonderful Vacation

If you have never been to Gulf Shores, I suggest you go as soon as you can. It is a beautiful place and a nice vacation spot. My husband and I go every year and we always have the best time.
We usually stay in a rented Beach House and they are very reasonable in price. You have to visit Gulf State Park Pavilion Area and hit the beach. It is never crowded, and there are lots of shady places to spread out a blanket and have a picnic.
If fishing and boating is more your thing, then I suggest going to Homeport Marina. They also have a great restaurant called Lulus right at the marina, great food and friendly people.
We also had to stop at Pirates Island Adventure Golf. My husband is an avid golfer and he refuses to leave without playing. They have two 18-hole courses with beautiful waterfalls, caves and a pirate ship.
Pelican Place at Craft Farms is a wonderful shopping site. They have a bunch of great clothing stores as well as many restaurants.
If none of these things interest you, Gulf Shores also has hiking trails, museums, or just hanging out at the Flora-Bama, listening to music. The Flora-Bama has free concerts you can catch while you are there.
If you can, get a package deal. You get your lodging, shows, and spa treatment all in one. If you're looking for something a little different, there are many package deals to choose from. Trust me, if you visit once, it will be your yearly vacation spot. When you get there you won't want to go home.
